The Madrid Family
On April 25th at 9:05 p.m., an EF-2 tornado tore through Runaway Bay, killing Juan Madrid and injuring his wife Gloria Avina, their daughter Jackeline, and their youngest son Antoni. In a single night, the family lost Juan, their home, their pet, and everything they owned.
The Madrids have called Wise County home for nearly 20 years. Juan worked locally as a landscaper while he and Gloria raised their four children. Their eldest, Juan Jr., works at Martin Marietta's North Bridgeport Quarry in Chico. Their younger sons, Jesus and Antoni, have both served as U.S. Marines. Their daughter Jackeline cares for Wise County patients at Dr. John Richardson's HealthWise Clinic in Decatur.
Any support you can offer as the Madrids recover and rebuild is deeply appreciated. 100% of proceeds will go to the family as they rebuild.

The Love Hard Collective provides a local 501(c)(3) space for generous donors to direct resources into specific needs as they arise. Intended to be a beacon of hope and support for people in need, through dedicated fundraising efforts, the Collective strives to cultivate a network of generosity, linking those with means to help those in need of assistance. And because of your generosity, we can respond quickly when urgent needs arise.
With its roots flowing from Acts 4 Others’ mission to “unite in God’s name to connect unmet needs with available resources,” the Love Hard Collective is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves access to essential resources and support, regardless of their circumstances. Whatever the need, Love Hard Collective works tirelessly to make a positive impact on the lives of those we serve. We will accomplish this by making it easy for generous people to come together and provide support.
The Collective focuses on raising funds for specific projects. Whether it’s helping a family recover from a tragedy or funding causes that will make a lasting impact on our world, we offer support through direct grants of funds or goods. We also provide organization grants to partners in the trenches.
